Beyond saving money and more importantly your time, mediation can bring about understand and reconciliation. Mediation can be a rewarding experience. We create a space for each party to listen, gain new perspective, with the aim of understanding what supports the goal of resolution- a settlement that the parties can view as favorable and fully reflect their combined decision.

Our practice brings together years of experiences in various subject matters, which allow us to have a quick grasp of the conflict, each parties narrative, and the ability to help the parties have a conversation to find common ground. Our academic, work, and life experiences are global and yet each mediation is unique; as such, we give each mediation the thoughtfulness and attention it deserves. Marcia E. Moncrieffe, Esq.

Attorney-Counselor • Certified Mediator •  Certified Life-Coach

With over 29 years of practice with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”), as a civil attorney, Marcia has negotiated and settled numerous cases for the agency with opposing parties from several industries and numerous business sectors, in the US, with headquarters in the US, Europe, Asia, and Canada. Many of these cases resulted in multi-million dollar settlements, earning Marcia an outstanding performance for every year of service with EPA, and known by many as "The Closer".  

It is Marcia’s global education in several academic disciplines and her innate ability to understand different perspectives, peoples, and cultures, that makes her excellent in achieving and/or helping parties to find resolutions. Also, preparation is a fundamental pillar to her work and she knows the right questions to ask and at the right time, which makes her an outstanding attorney-counselor, a helpful life coach, and a mediator who has helped parties find favorable results. 

Marcia is always seeking opportunities to help people operate with knowledge so that they will better exercise their self-determination to make decisions that are in their best interest. With her various skill-sets and competences (gained through work, schooling, and volunteering) brought to the practice of mediation, it is her endeavor to help people understand that conflicts arise often because people do care and that listening to each other without judgement can indeed result in reconciliation, understanding, and/or settlement.

Dr. Melissa Moncrieffe

PhD in Education • MA in International Studies • Certified Mediator

Melissa is a Certified Mediator in Texas and the UK. Her focus in mediation proceedings centers around her over 20 years of professional and academic background in education, global affairs,  working with youth, and working in administrative capacities in community forums–with an ease in engaging with various public and private sectors. As a result she specializes in international, community, juvenile, and employer/employee matters and issues. Additionally, she has experience in mediating in commercial and landlord disputes. While working  as a mediator, Melissa remains aware of each party's views and experience, listening without passing judgement on the process. She has been praised for her helpfulness and professionalism by parties during mediations.

Our approach ranges from facilitative to  evaluative–always ensuring that as mediators we are neutral. The process is informal and even when a resolution is not achieved, it is our experience that parties leave the session with better understanding and new perspectives. We look forward to helping you resolve civil matters before they are filed and even after they are filed with the court. As often a court’s decision focuses on winners and losers, whereby mediation focuses more on what will be acceptable for the parties. You have a voice in the decision, and mediation is the option that best supports your voice.

Half Day: $ 700

Two Hours: $400

In person: Full Day: $2400 (plus reasonable travel expenses)
